VP Engineering

Elemental Machines is seeking an experienced and highly motivated VP of Engineering to lead a multidisciplinary team of hardware engineers, full-stack and mobile software devs, data scientists, and application engineers in creating the world’s best products to help accelerate biotech, pharma, and clinical applications. Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a team of hardware, software, mobile, and data engineers
  • Create and deliver IoT sensors and connected products for regulated and validated environments
  • Own the responsibility for manufacturing our IoT products at scale
  • Liaise with Commercial and Quality teams to ensure products are designed and manufactured in accordance with SOPs

 

Required:

  • 10+ years of direct responsibility for design, development, and delivery of:
    • High volume hardware products
    • Cloud-connected software products
    • Mobile applications
  • Experience managing engineering teams within regulated environments
  • 5+ years of direct personnel management experience
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

 

Preferred:

  • Advanced knowledge of analog and digital circuit design
  • Experience in designing and bringing medical devices to market
  • Advanced degree in an engineering discipline
  • Knowledge of the life sciences industry (laboratory science, clinical operations, etc)
